In spite of the early hour , nearly 80 Heartland Conference attendees turned out to hear Dr. Stacey Brennan talk about CERT audits at a breakfast session Thursday morning.
She opened her presentation by thanking those present “for everything you do for all of our Medicare beneficiaries,” then noted that the purpose of the Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) was not “to look for fraud. These are randomly chosen claims.”
Brennan, a family practice physician by training, is Jurisdiction B medical director for DME MAC.
