From the Desk of Greg Packer – President of U.S. Rehab

“I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts…” ~Abraham Lincoln

The real facts are these –

We are under an aggressive attack from CMS and our efforts in talking with them have so far proven ineffective. We must now fight back and take our concerns directly to Congress.

As a member and friend of U.S. Rehab, we need your help now more than ever by sharing your stories about the negative impacts of CMS audits on your ability to do business and effectively treat your patients. Congress needs to know about the thousands of beneficiaries who are being denied access to the complex rehab equipment that is critical for them to maintain their health, independence and well-being.

CMS must also be held accountable for its mismanagement and critical misconduct of our claims.  The difference between fraud and mistakes in billing must be defined, and we need to make it known that when medical necessity is not the primary focus of a CMS reviewer, it is not acceptable and not tolerated.

VGM has created Speak4DME.com as a platform for you to share your issues and concerns regarding audits misconduct. Please participate in the Speak4DME project by submitting the form on the Speak4DME.com webpage and working with us to make sure your voice is heard in Washington. It is up to us to ensure the fire is turned up under CMS, and that these issues are solved once and for all.

I want to assure you that we are united. We will not go quietly into the night, nor will we allow our patients to be taken advantage of. U.S. Rehab and VGM are here and continue to fight for your best interests as an independent provider of complex rehab in the industry. We continue to work to bring your concerns, and the concerns of your patients, to light in Washington.

Please stand with us. Fight with us. Share your stories at Speak4DME.com today.

Thank you again and always for your membership and support of our industry.
