Senate Bill Introduced to Exempt Complex Rehab From The Medicare Competitive Bidding Program

After literally years of effort, the rehab industry now sees a brighter light at the end of the tunnel. As of April 29th, a bipartisan, companion bill to H.R. 2231 has be been introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senator Olympia Snowe (R), Maine; and co-sponsored by Senators Debbie Stabenow (D), Michigan; and Tim Johnson (D), South Dakota. Senate bill S.2931 has now been referred to the Senate Finance Committee of which both Senators Snowe and Stabenow are active members.

U.S. Rehab applauds all who have put forth effort into making our voices heard. We encourage everyone to keep the lines of communication open and urge all your Senators to support and sign on to S. 2931.
