The U.S. Rehab Tech Training sessions that took place in Waterloo, Iowa, June 13-15 were a success. Like other Tech Training sessions, the attendees learned about product specifics, basic repair strategies, troubleshooting, and programming techniques.
There will be a new opportunity to attend Tech Training in Houston, Texas, Aug. 8-10 at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Houston Intercontinental Airport. Both advanced and beginner tracks will be conducted by professionals from MK Battery, Sunrise Medical, Motion Concepts, Invacare, Merits/Avid Rehab, and Permobil. Tech Training is one of the only in-person training opportunities with multiple manufacturers available.
Registration is open. Click here to register. Class size is limited to ensure one-on-one intensive training.
The beginner-level session covers the basics of electronics and batteries, programming for beginners, product-specific repair and adjustments, and industry trends. If you are a newly hired tech, we recommend taking our online Tech Training course called “Fundamentals of Repair: Power and Manual Wheelchairs” before you attend our in-person training session. Click here to learn more about the program or to purchase. U.S. Rehab members can purchase this program for $75 per person.
The advanced-level session covers programming for advanced techs, product-specific repair and adjustments, and the introduction to seating and positioning for techs.
