This 2-day on-site course will provide fundamental tools to assist you in the successful prescription of assistive technology including:
- Basics of anatomy, biomechanics, and disability
- Client evaluation and service delivery
- Seating and wheeled mobility
- AAC, EADL/ECU and computer technologies
- Assistive technologies for sensory impairments
- Funding and legislation
- Test-taking strategies
Elizabeth Cole, MSPT, will present the program. Elizabeth has been involved in many aspects of the provision of assistive technology during the last 21 years. She recently joined The Orion Group, where she is excited to use her industry experiences to provide clinical and reimbursement consulting for DME and assistive technology. Elizabeth has lectured extensively at conferences, trade shows and seminars, both domestically and internationally, and has been a guest lecturer for Physical Therapy programs at various universities.

A one-day ATS/ATP Review Course will take place in conjunction with Heartland 2007 on Thursday, June 14, 2007. This course is a great refresher for those preparing for the RESNA Exam on Friday, June 15, 2007 in Waterloo, IA.

Registration for the RESNA Exam must be done through RESNA by obtaining the proper forms at www.resna.org and choosing Heartland Conference as your requested exam location.
